Ladies and Gentlemen:

We welcome you The Commercial Bank of Grayson’s web site.

The Commercial Bank has served the banking needs of Carter and surrounding counties since 1891.  Since that time, our focus has remained the same:  providing excellent service, paying a competitive deposit rate, and meeting the lending needs of our local creditworthy borrowers.  By sticking to this basic, conservative philosophy, we continue to have the resources available to play a significant role in the future growth and prosperity of our area.

One key part of that role is the bank’s involvement in our local community.  We have added a new “Community Events” section to the web site that provides a small sample of our bank’s civic activities.  We are proud our employees’ involvement in making Carter County a better place in which to live.

We hope our site provides you with up-to-date, relevant information to make your banking experience easier.  Likewise, we hope this periodic update will provide you with information on the bank’s newest products, services, and opportunities for you to make the most out of what your bank has to offer.

We welcome your comments and suggestions, not only regarding our web presence, but on all of the bank’s services, products, and delivery methods.  Thank you for your continued business.

                         Sincerely,

                         Mark D. Strother

                         Executive Vice President

THE BANK’S MOST IMPORTANT ASSET – OUR EMPLOYEES

Our newest employee

Randan Salyers, the son of Randy and Merry Salyers, is yet another student to work at the bank through West Carter High School’s co-op program.  Please join us in welcoming Randan as he joins us in providing you with outstanding banking service.

Retirements

Louise Stapleton has concluded her 30 years in banking on March 31.  Since 1985, Louise has effectively promoted the bank in our community.  She began her service as Public Relations Manager and retires as Marketing Officer, a position she has held since 1991.  Louise’s substantial community work will continue to benefit the people of Olive Hill for many years.

After over 20 years in banking, Rita Jackson decided to retire at the end March as well.  During Rita’s nearly seven years with Commercial Bank, she has provided our customers with excellent service and a strong knowledge of banking operations.  That knowledge has allowed Rita to effectively work in a number of different areas of the bank.

Please join us in wishing Louise and Rita long, healthy and happy retirements.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO MEET YOUR NEEDS

Mortgage Loans

Financing a home for our customers is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a banker.  The Commercial Bank has been helping our neighbors build their dream homes for over a century.  We encourage you to stop by and see one of our experienced loan officers so we can begin helping make your dream a reality.

The Club

You have come to expect a number of benefits through The Club, including insurance for identity theft and accidental death and dismemberment, and many travel related savings such as the Savers Club and Companion Airfare.  Now, members of The Club Family Plan can receive money back from the purchases you already make through “Everyday Rebate Rewards.”  Once a quarter, by sending in $100.00 in receipts from your everyday purchases, you will receive a $10 rebate.  The Everyday Rebate Rewards program is just another reason to be a part of The Club.

THE COMMERCIAL BANK SCHOLARSHIP

Since 1985, The Commercial Bank Scholarship has helped some our finest local students in their pursuit of a college degree.  Annually, one senior from East Carter High School and one senior from West Carter High School are each awarded an $8,000 scholarship from The Commercial Bank Foundation.  We believe this is a valuable investment in the future, as evidenced by past recipients who have gone on to successful careers in education, medicine, engineering, business and law.
